Complete Front and Back Garden Upgrade by Solihull Landscape Services

One of our latest completed projects in Knowle involved a full front and back garden transformation, combining high-quality materials with expert craftsmanship to deliver a modern and practical outdoor space.
This project included a new block paved driveway, major groundwork improvements, structural retaining work, and a beautiful new patio area for the rear garden.
Front Garden: Tobermore Block Paved Driveway
The front of the property was completely redesigned to improve both access and curb appeal. We installed a Tobermore block paved driveway, a premium paving solution known for its durability, strength, and attractive finish.
Tobermore products are an excellent choice for driveways because they are built to withstand daily vehicle use while maintaining their visual appeal for years to come. The finished driveway now provides a smart, welcoming entrance to the property while offering practical parking space.
Tree Removal and Improved Access
To open up the layout and improve movement around the property, our team carried out tree removal and site preparation. Once cleared, we created a new side access pathway, making it far easier for the homeowners to move between the front and back gardens.
This change also helped to maximise the usable space and improve the overall flow of the outdoor area.
Rear Garden: Porcelain Patio & Sleeper Bed
The rear garden was completely transformed into a stylish and usable outdoor living area.
A sleeper bed was installed to introduce structure and planting areas, creating a natural contrast against the hard landscaping elements. Raised beds like these are perfect for defining different garden zones while providing space for plants, shrubs, or decorative features.
The highlight of the rear garden is the installation of 60 square metres of premium porcelain tiles, creating a large and contemporary patio area. Porcelain paving is increasingly popular thanks to its modern appearance, durability, and low maintenance properties, making it ideal for family gardens and entertaining spaces.
Structural Retaining Wall
Due to the levels within the garden, a retaining wall was required to safely support the landscape design. Our team constructed this using RSJs (steel support beams) combined with solid oak sleepers, ensuring both structural integrity and a natural aesthetic that blends beautifully with the surrounding garden.
This combination provides a strong and long-lasting solution while maintaining the high-end finish expected from a professional landscaping project.
