We’re excited to showcase one of our latest garden transformations—this time at Churchill Road, where we were tasked with turning a tired, underused space into a beautiful and practical outdoor retreat. The result? A raised sun terrace with stylish, low-maintenance features, all finished to our signature high standards.

The Brief

Our client wanted a modern, welcoming outdoor area that could be used for entertaining, relaxing, and enjoying the sunshine. They were after something visually striking but also functional and easy to maintain. Our team at Solihull Landscaping Services designed and delivered a solution that ticks all the boxes.

What We Delivered

☀️ Raised Sun Terrace with Natural Stone Paving

At the heart of the design is a beautifully constructed raised sun terrace, built using premium natural stone paving. This material offers a timeless aesthetic with natural variation in tone and texture—perfect for creating a sophisticated, durable seating area.

We framed the terrace with a robust sleeper retainer, which adds definition and structure to the space while supporting the elevation. The raised height gives the terrace a strong presence in the garden and ensures maximum sunlight throughout the day.

🚶‍♂️ Charcoal Block Edge Path & Stepping Stones

Leading away from the sun terrace, we installed a charcoal block edged pathway that guides you through the garden. To enhance this transition, we embedded natural stone stepping stones within a bed of decorative gravel.

To keep everything in place and looking sharp, we used a specialist bonding agent to stabilise the decorative stone. This not only improves the path’s appearance but also prevents loose gravel from shifting, making it safer and easier to maintain.

The Result

The once uninspiring space is now a clean, contemporary outdoor area—perfect for alfresco dining, relaxing with family, or simply enjoying the garden. It’s a clear example of how smart landscaping and quality materials can completely transform a garden’s function and feel.
